Drawing from a diverse catalog of influences, listeners may notice some inspiration from Classic Rock & Psychedelic Music, Prog, Jam, Funk, and a variety of other genres; but Scoop has truly developed a unique musical voice that is entirely their own.
Striving with their original compositions to create a distinctive sound while maintaining catchy hooks and phrasing, and building improvisational passages by establishing danceable grooves, patiently building melodies to captivating musical peaks; Scoop skillfully captures the mood and feel of each specific moment, keeping the audience on their feet and shaking their pants all night long.
Who is Scoop?
Born as a vehicle for the original compositions of Northern Colorado based guitarist & vocalist Bill Talley, Scoop rapidly quickly grew into something so much more. A project of true collaboration, each member of the band has added their own musical voice to the writing, arrangement, and improvisational stylings of Scoop's music.
Every performance promises new interpretations of established songs and unpredictable jams that are driven by the mood, feel, and atmosphere of each individual moment.
