Scoop plays funk & jazz infused rock & roll with intermittent twang and jam tendencies.
The project started as a vehicle for the original compositions of Colorado-based guitarist & vocalist Bill Talley. After meeting Nik Wojo & Kieran McClay in 2023, the band began performing their originals and a variety of cover songs in 2024.
Drawing from a diverse catalog of influences, listeners may notice some inspiration from Classic Rock & Psychedelic Music, Prog, Jam, & Funk, and a variety of other genres; but Scoop has truly developed a unique musical voice that is entirely their own.
Striving with their original compositions to create a distinctive sound while maintaining catchy hooks and phrasing, and building improvisational passages by establishing danceable grooves, patiently building melodies to captivating musical peaks; Scoop skillfully captures the mood and feel of each specific moment, keeping the audience on their feet and shaking their pants all night long.

Kieran McClay
Drums & Vocals
Kieran McClay is a percussionist, originally from the Shenandoah Valley. A lifelong student of drumming & percussion, he expertly sets the pace & feel for any groove.
Bill Talley
Guitar & Vocals
Originally from South Florida, Bill Talley is currently based in Northern Colorado, by way of Durango & the Four Corners. Talley began his musical journey playing the alto saxophone in 3rd grade. Since switching to guitar at 16 years old, he has been writing original songs for decades.
